The history about News

Before technology took over newspaper, news was distributed by paper and people relied on it tremendously. Print newspaper has been around since the 1800’s and it has satisfied many consumers. However, the print newspaper industry fluctuated a lot. During the 1830’s, the model of penny press started off as inexpensive paper that were sold by street vendors. Penny press became significant, profiting, and influencing during the late 1800’s. Penny press was later on known as “yellow journalism”. During specific times like the Great Depression and with modern technology that advanced so rapidly, Radios, Magazines, Televisions, and Internet bloomed.

News

Many news outlets use new media to share the stories and articles. Some of the popular news outlets such as The New York Times, Yahoo! News, CNN, The Washington Post, Fox News, NBC News, Huffington Post, and Google News have their own apps where people can download to stay updated with the latests stories. There are several news outlets that use social media account such as twitter and snapchat to reach even more people. The application snapchat has features where you can click on the news outlet's snapchat icon and preview their top ten new stories of the day. This feature allow people who don't usually read newspaper or articles to be more aware of what's going on daily or wherever you may live.

News Aggregators

With many news outlets adopting new media as a mode of disseminating their news, it can be hard to keep up. A potent tool is the Rich Site Summary, or RSS, which “is a format for delivering regularly changing web content.”[1] Many news sites and blogs create their own RSS feeds so you can quickly look at all of their published stories’ headlines without having to go the the site itself and sorting through all of the news to find what you want. The links to these feeds can be added to RSS readers, or news aggregators, to display all of your favorite sites’ content in one place.

If you’re looking for RSS feeds around a certain topic, sites like Instant RSS Search [2] will help you find popular feeds quickly. You can add multiple RSS feeds to a news aggregator site or app to curate your own feed from your favorite sites. News aggregators often have suggestions for sites to follow based upon particular interests, as well.
